Tapping the potential of unused & unwanted textiles of the store bahns, we created playful constellations, which are flexible in positioning & quantity. We further explored these seating strategies for the Verbier Art Summit to encourage interaction among the audience in a sterile conference room atmosphere.
Our goal was to create a vibrant environment indoors, which would complement the snow-clad outdoor landscape of Verbier. We retain the colors and patterns of the awnings, to speak for themselves and so we manifest the originality as the design language which is playful for the user's freedom. The project aims at breaking down the barriers of serious conduct during a conference, by introducing unusual space dynamics. In total our project is represented by a cost-friendly, simple, sustainable, and flexible character which encourages users and participants to make their own choices in space.
This was a great opportunity to see our academic projects taken to the real world, with the same enthusiasm & support.

One of the students, Tejal Gala, reflected that art is the platform to bridge gaps, stating "it is time to scale back global expansion, focus more on local produce, local art, preserve heritage. Technology has given us the ability to elevate our virtual interactions so that we may conserve the energy utilized for physical presence."

The project was envisioned and executed under the mentorship of Rosario Hurtado and Arno Mathies
